Job title: tax operation manager.
Level: L5(M1).
Work location: Lagos base with some travels within or outside Nigeria

FUNCTION: finance.
Report to: tax and pay roll manager.
Purpose of role
The tax operation manager function as internal tax administrator or specialist to the business the role older ensure the development and update of the company s tax and other related polices and guidelines .the role older manage the payments schedules and return of state and federal government tax as well as carrying out tax computation as may be require from time to time.
Key accountabilities
-prompt payment of all taxes due to the state and federal government .such as excess duty, company income and education tax, value add tax, withholding tax, personal income tax,(PAYE)
-prompt fill of all tax return in line with statutory timeline
-ensure tax law are inter protect and embedded in the company s process and declarations
-effective management of tax audits
-ensure prompt complication of tax magnitude validating model and cash tax forecast schedules in conjunctions with akintola Williams deloite and DBSC teams respectively
-manage relationship with tax consultant s to ensure tax objectives are deliver to time and in line with appropriate legislation
-satisfactory compliance with tax control as require by control audit and risk management (CARM) GUIDELINES
-ensure that all tax quarries correspondences are respond to and appropriate taken to avoided penalties due to none compliances.
Prompt monthly reconciliation of tax related accounts
Skill qualification and experience required
- graduate caliber plus membership of institute of chartered accountant of Nigeria
- minimum of 5years post qualification experience with relevant tax management experience
- ability to commercial insight and translate into the organization and people agenda including the good costumer service.
- Proven ability to facilitate, pursued ,influence and build creativities with all level and all functions.
- Analytical, interpretative decision-making skills.
- Excellent coaching and relationship building skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Good team player with good coaching skills.
- Sound IT knowledge in the use of outlook (excel, word and power point)
- Working knowledge in accounting package –SAP(all modules)
